Video: Status on Westside
Video of School Construction site, causeway adjacent, holding pond at Porter Road and Sixth, and the V-Notch--8-20-2007 9:30Am
As frustrated and upset as I am over the situation on the westside of Evansville, my heart goes out to people that are experiencing far worse situations than I am.
I realize we have received a lot of rain, but this has been an ongoing concern for years and the westside flooding has been an issue when other areas were able to handle rainful without experiencing flooding (like the 2-3 inch rain in April).
I think we are at a crossroads. It is time for independent review. Watching and waiting for Sauer to fix this hasn't worked and he has had plenty of time and opportunity. My patience has run out. If the city is going to continue the same course it is time for the residents to force a change. There is a meeting next week as noticed on the the City of Evansville Website.......
Westside Stormwater Concerns...
On the Public Works agenda for Tuesday, August 28, 6:00 pm at the Public Works Garage, 535 South Madison Street.
I encourage residents to show up and demand unbiased outside review. If I hear more of the status quo and there will be no independent review, I am ready to take it to the next level.
