Plan: Ald. Tom Cothard on accessible housing
Plan Commission, August 6, 2007, Alderman Thomas Cothard spoke in opposition to the proposed ordinance to require some accessible housing in new additions to housing stock.
I would think that once the house is built you could sell it to who ever would want to buy it,
For example, my mom can't come to my current house to visit because of the steps and the bathtub. I would entertain this point during my next house search. Same issue holds true with my in laws.
What Tom and Roger are trying to say is that if someone were to want a ada home they would build them one, what they don't say is that they would call it a custom home and increase the price!
