  1. A parcel immediately south of Symdon Chevrolet was excluded from the original boundaries of TID No. 5 based on my recommendation. The Redevelopment Authority subsequently promised the owner of that parcel it would be added next time the boundaries of TID No. 5 are adjusted. But the RA did not want to adjust the boundaries for that one parcel alone, because there are a limited number of boundary adjustments permitted over the life of the TID.

    I have no idea what other parcels are under consideration this time around. To the best of my recollection, the old Water & Light building on S. Union St. (old Exchange St.) already is in TID No. 5 (I think it was included in the first boundary adjustment). Maybe the boundary needs to be adjusted so that TID No. 5 will include all of the enlarged parcel immediately north of Romano's (owned by Francois Oil Co.). The original parcel was included in TID No. 5, but the parcel was enlarged after TID No. 5 was created. It is a prime spot for some new retail or commercial development.

  2. Bingo---Yes, Correct answer.

    Last night Dan Wietecha discussed the parcel next to Romano's as the possible site of a hotel and bowling alley, and the need to get the whole parcel in the TIF. The parcel up near Symdon was also one of the parcels to be added and the members were asked thoughts on any others that might be needed to be added and asked for public input.
