Evansville Police: Media Release:

Media Release
January 12th, 2007

On December 22nd, 2006, Goodspeed Gas-N-Go, 350 Union St. Evansville, reported a Burglary, Theft, and Criminal Damage to a business. The Evansville Police Department investigated the above incident, which resulted in the following arrests:

Jacob A. Vayding, age 17, Evansville:

Burglary.

Theft

Jason E. Calkins, age 18, Evansville:

Burglary

Crimal Damage to Property.

Theft

3 counts Obstructing

Both subjects are currently being held at the Rock County Jail awaiting arraignment.

    This incident should not be posted publicly to humiliate and shame friends and relatives of the accused. What if they were innocent and their cases were dismissed? Yet their names and reputation can still be seen and displayed publicly on the internet. These kids deserve to have a bit of privacy. Times change and so will they if you'd give them a chance to be good again.

    I agree absolutely. I think all of us at one point or another have committed a misdemeanor regardless of its nature. After all we're humans and mistakes happens, but we always learn from our mischief and try to forget them if it's possible.
