Click on the audioblogger to hear the discussion of Supr. Heidi Carvin on possible restoration of the curriculum coordinator position. It is unclear whether the folks who took portions of the position and got raises would have to give their raises back if the new person was hired.
Stay tuned.

I'm with the Observer on this call. If the administrators gave up that portion of their salaries that was added when the position was eliminated, there shouldn't be any worry at all about funding. No pleas are required. Just ante up your salary increases from 2 years ago and you should be able to hire a fine curriculum coordinator and keep him or her the requisite 3 years to full productivity. No worries!
ReplyDeleteCome on of course they would have to 'give' back their raises. They would go back to the same level of pay as before, the extra work. That is the only thing that makes sense. I think its clear the school can not afford to pay people for jobs they are no longer doing. I am curious as to why now, look to restoring it?
ReplyDeleteThis is why people need to take interest in the School District and run for a Board position. Now is the time. I am tired of hearing how much work the administration has to do. Stop adding administration and balance your budget instead of coming up with more expense's. NO MORE ADMINISTRATION cost's!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy now? The reason of course is they realize they can hire some one cheaper than what they are paying everyone else now.
