According to the current poll results, residents want smoking in restaurants and bars in Evansville. You can still participate in this poll which is ongoing.
This sentiment contrasts with the statements made by AMF at the recent hearing on the "family entertainment center" that was voted down for the east side. AMF representatives said that the days of the stand alone smokey bar are limited---the more family friendly non smoking venue is the thing of the future.

Get the kids off the streets and into the alleys, huh?
ReplyDeleteOk grumps don't get it. I think regardless of any polls, smoking has most def. become less acceptable than what is was 10 years ago, and in the next 10 years its going to become even more unacceptable. I think within the next 10 years smokers are going to find it harder and harder to find a public place to smoke, as more and more city's will put in place smoking bans. It will take time, but they will happen. I bet 10 years ago Madison would have never thought of having a smoking ban, but now they do . Finally got a backbone.
ReplyDeletemaybe the majority of people understand that owners can make up their own minds what is best for their business
ReplyDeletethis won't be up to the owner's it will be up to the city in which they have their business.
ReplyDeleteIt should be up to owners it is their own money
