Evansville Common Council: Liquor License: Bauer Haus; City Atty offers advice
The common council was about to approve the license when at the last minute a past due tax payable was discovered. Some council members thought they could or should not renew the license.
The Evanville City Attorney cautioned the council that the current municipal ordinance is invalid, and that their only option is to renew the license.
I really can not understand this, hard to make out what was being said, what was the issue.
