Last week featured a whole series of articles in the Wisconsin State Journal on the crisis in water that cities across the nation are facing, and Madison in particular is facing, as water quality is being affected by inadequate funding for infrastructure replacement.
Click on the post for the summary in the Wis. Journal OP ed column. The bottom line is that citizens will have to face the music of higher costs if water quality is to be maintained---in fact much higher costs. The costs that our beloved forefathers have allocated to replacement have been very small compared to what was needed. This may be a rude budegetary shock for all of America. Stay tuned.
