Is the President afraid of Helen Thomas? He sure is avoiding her questions.

Click on the post for the view of Helen Thomas, namely that the President in his news conferences has been avoiding her questions.

  1. Helen Thomas is no longer a journalist, she now only writes opinion articles. Why would you take any questions from someone like her. Well I guess it's kind of like Juergens answering my questions expect the fact is I pay his ass. She is no longer a productive member of our media.

  2. Using that logic, Jeff Gannon, former whitehouse reporter/male escort, should have never received admittance, and certainly should have never been called on to pose any questions. Why was Mr. Gannon frequently called on when Scott McClellan was struggling? How did he get called on by Mr. Bush, which ultimately exposed him as a fake journalist?

You can bet David Gregory won't get called on again for asking "tough" questions. Part of being a journalist is asking the tough questions.

  3. So since she is no longer paid? She can contribute nothing? Come one Slammer, losing the faith once again. By the way where is that little guy you normally post with your posts?

  4. The little guy is gone because it takes so long to get them loaded up. Why is this even a story?? We have issues like travelgate and Al Gore and

  5. She also had another question at the ready, just in case, this one about the president's contention that a 28-year-old wiretapping law known as FISA is out of date, which prompted him to order the National Security Agency to conduct a secret electronic surveillance program that Democrats contend is illegal.

Like the FISA law & Democrats Helen Thomas is out of touch and out of date.

  6. The law isn't out of date. They just needed to go to the FISA court to verify they weren't spying on anyone they shouldn't be spying on (which they can do retroactively). Why didn't they do this, because it wasn't Al Qaedaa to U.S. citizen phonecalls. Nobody has ever suggested that the NSA should hang up on Al Qaeda call when it is to the U.S., they just need to file the proper paper work to confirm they are acting within the law.

The suggestion that we would tip off Al Qaeda that we are trying to listen to them is ridiculous. I think they know there is the potential of the U.S. eavesdropping on them.

  7. Mark I thought about you statement earlier with McClellan having Gannon, that may be the case, but Clinton had the entire press core throwing him softballs throughout his term
