Gore kept talking about MLK being spyed on and looked at by the Federal Government in the 60's those years the White House was inhabited by the Democrats right??? I am confused. Why use a great man's legacy to get political points. He is useless. Let him out of his 'LOCKBOX'
I wish we had "the lockbox." Bush claims social security is worthless pieces of paper? If it is, it is because he raided social security to pay for a war based in lies!
Wasted taxes seems to be a recurring theme on this blog as far as local issues. Any conservative Republicans out there that feel fed up with the Neocon agenda and betrayed by the lack of conservatism? Tired of no bid contracts to cronies?
He spoke out against the war! Who cares who is in the white house, etc. If you blindly trust your politicians stricly on party line basis or trust them unquestioningly, expect to be betrayed.
The article starts by saying he is commited to overthrowing Saddam Hussein. What has changed?? The fact now the political left will flop back to try to regain power in 2008, I don't see why Al is pushing for the Dems, is he still technically one. They threw his ass under the bus after 2000.
-Chuck Norris can win a game of Connect Four in only three moves.
Your really stretching it when you start trying to hold campaigning politicians to their word. Who said that he wasn't into nation building in 2000?
I don't think anyone that doesn't support this war thinks Saddam was a good guy. The problem is that the way this region was artificially put together by the British makes it susceptible to unstability with the 3 distinct regions with different backgrounds and interests. The Turks having an interest in the Kurds not getting their own state, even further complicates this. Unfortunately, this makes it susceptible to a civil war if it is not run by a tyrant.
The Ironic thing is that Sean Hannity loves to talk about the "mass graves" from Saddam. What he doesn't like to talk or is blissfully ignorant about, is that Mr. Rumsfeld as part of the Reagan administration sold him the chemicals in the 1980's when Saddam was fighting with Iran and was our Buddy. A lot of the inhumanity was overlooked when he was considered an ally.
Even if you did support going into Iraq and want to overlook all the deception that led us there. They went in with a poor plan and squandered a lot of money in the process through corporate handouts to Halliburton and the usual suspects. There is a report in the wall street journal today that 38 Billion was wasted through corruption and/or negligence when the coalition provisional authority. We went in without a plan (we will be greeted as liberators) or not a very good one. These tax dollars affect us at the local level as Federal programs are cut back or stopped. Go ahead, think about how your tax dollars are being spent.

George Bush - NO
Bill Clinton - NO
